Drone Dio is the University of Wollongong's official student drone club, founded with a vision to advance drone technology through hands-on projects, research, and international competition.
As the first team from Australia to represent in the SUAS (Student Unmanned Aerial Systems) competition in the USA, we aim to foster talent, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and push boundaries in aerial innovation. Our mission is to empower students with real-world experience in drone development — from hardware and software integration to AI, computer vision, and autonomous navigation — while creating impactful solutions for civil, environmental, and industrial challenges.
